Weddings like this are why I continue to do what I do. And it’s not just because of the pretty decorations and scenery (although this wedding had ALL of that!). This wedding had me feeling all of the feels because of the people and the true love that was shining through at every corner.

I actually met Alexis and Michael back in 2017 when Alexis stood up in Meghan’s Texas wedding (see that wedding here!), which was another of my favs. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing the weddings of several couples in this friend group, and I swear… these people are the best at making me feel like I’m part of the family. Each time one of them inquires about their big day, I get SO excited because shooting these wedding honestly feels like a reunion of friends.

I think that’s why I always feel so fulfilled after these weddings. This group of people and their families are some of the most real and own to earth that I’ve ever met. And, if you’ve ever had the pleasure of being in the presence of Michael and Alexis, you’d have no doubt that true love exists. These two are the real deal. They’ve gone through so much life already… from their years of dating to their beautiful daughter Mila. Life has tested them and they’ve come through stronger than they ever were. I couldn’t get enough of how smitten Michael was with Alexis all day. They’re seriously THE CUTEST and I think I could photograph them all day.

When it came to planning her wedding, Alexis knew that she wanted to host her family in the Florida Keys, which is a special place to her family. With the help of Cate Tenopir Events and so many awesome vendors (listed below), Alexis and Michael pulled of a beautiful, fun and super memorable wedding day ay Key Largo Lighthouse Beach Estate.
