Adam and Meghan were both raised in the Midwest (in the great State of Wisconsin!), but made their way down to Texas after meeting in college. While jobs took them south, these two and their northern hearts fit in perfectly with everything that makes Texas great. Having settled into their new life almost seamlessly, these two wanted to use their wedding day to introduce their friends and family to all of their favorite things about the south. With the help of awesome vendors and a knock-out venue, Adam and Meghan carefully crafted their perfect day.

From the moment I stepped onto the Pecan Springs Ranch property, I felt a sense of southern magic in the air. True to it’s name, there were literally pecan trees sprawling across the property, with what seemed like infinite out buildings connected by hundreds of strands of string lights. The bridal suite, one of the property’s original houses, was filled with natural light and laughter when I met Meghan, who was anxiously awaiting the day ahead of her.

And what a day it was! While we were sidetracked by a bit of rain during the ceremony, the rest of the day had picture perfect weather. My favorite detail was the food trucks stationed outside the reception hall that treated guests to a wide variety of southern fare. Cocktail hour was so relaxed, and made complete with a whiskey bar made up of the groom’s favorite labels. If whiskey wasn’t your thing, they even had beer donkeys roaming the property delivering drinks to guests (how fun!). Basically, the day was the definition of not only a perfectly-done Texas bash, but a day perfect for Mehgan and Adam. We can’t wait to see this wedding on the pages of Austin Wedding Day Magazine this spring!
