As you’re planning your wedding, you’ll hear tons of different pieces of advice… some good and some not so good. I do think though that one of the BEST things you can do when you’re thinking about your day is to plan a day that is reflective of you and your partner. Mel and Pat did just that with their Northwoods wedding in Eagle River, Wisconsin. These two love the outdoors, and love all of the things that make Wisconsin great. They wanted a casual, laid back wedding in the woods and they accomplished just that with their summer wedding!

Mel and I went to high school together, so I was of course overjoyed when she asked me to shoot her wedding. I’ve said it before, but I truly love that this job of mine lets me reconnect with so many old friends. As is the case with so many of my recent couples, I was happy to find that Mel was in the best hands with Pat. It was easy to see that he adores her and spent the entire day stealing glances that were basically the cutest ever. This day will easily go down as one of my favorites because it was so relaxed and all about Mel, Pat and their love. What could be better?
