One of the perks of my job is that, occasionally, I get to travel to some pretty cool places. Last week, I was on a 10-day adventure that took me from Dallas, to San Fransisco, to Sonoma to Tulare, CA for work. While it was exhausting, I did find some time to fit in a few trips in between my work days. After attending a conference in Dallas, I headed up to San Fransisco and met up with one of my best friends for a girls weekend in Sonoma County. For all of those wine lovers out there, GO TO SONOMA! It was one of my favorite places I’ve ever been (spoken like a true wine connoisseur). I cannot recommend it enough. We spent three nights in a little cabin on a vineyard (shout out to VRBO.com!) and had the best time driving around seeing the scenery and tasting some amazing wine.

After that, I hopped in my rental and headed about six hours south to Tulare for a trade show. One morning, some co-workers and I woke up before the sun and drove into the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. I’ve seen mountains before, but to drive through them at sunset was a different story. All of the sights were breathtaking! I think my mouth was hanging open the entire time. Enjoy!

After San Francisco, I dropped my friend off at the airport and made the trek south to farm country in Tulare. Tulare was a pretty cool city. It consisted of miles and miles of citrus and avocado farms, with spectacular mountain ranges in the distance. We’re from farm country in Wisconsin, but it was really fun to see a completely different type of crop being grown. Not to mention that we got to pick California oranges straight from the branches…. they were the BEST oranges I’ve ever had.
