Oh this wedding. I’ve been saving it for months because it was one of my favorites, and I was waiting for a snowy day like today to look back on all of this summer goodness. This day will forever go down as one of the greats in my book. It was everything that makes summer in Wisconsin my favorite: endless green fields, flowers in peak bloom, perfect weather and, of course, friends and family. Pair all of that with Liz and Andy, and the magic that Door County Event Planners created, and you’ve got yourself one amazing wedding.
From the moment I first met Liz and Andy (over the phone), I knew that these two were my kind of people. They were laid back, totally in love, and wanted nothing but a memorable, fun day for their wedding. My absolute favorite part of their day was their ceremony, where I got to hear their full love story for the first time. It just so happened that, unfortunately, the tragic passing of Liz’s father was one of the defining moments when Andy realized that Liz was his soulmate. And seriously you guys, I say that I cry a lot at weddings, and I really do mean that, but this wedding, this family and these people gathered for this ceremony had such a different impact us. Everyone at the ceremony, invested in THIS love story, was incredibly present in the moment and, if I had to guess, felt the presence of Liz’s dad that afternoon just like we did.
If there are any two souls deserving of a beautiful life, it’s these two. We’re so glad that we were able to be a part of their first day as husband and wife. Take a look at one of our favorites from this summer! Sending lots of love to these vendors who helped bring this day to life:
