Wisconsin is full of natural beauty, and my favorite part of our beautiful state is the shores of Lake Michigan. How lucky are we to have such amazing bodies of water right in our backyard? The best part, in my opinion, is how the beaches make you feel like you’re on the ocean during the summer months. You can’t beat it!
In my opinion, our great beaches don’t get shown off enough. Given the current state of our world and micro weddings becoming more and more popular, I decided I wanted to show couples how pretty a small and intimate ceremony at my favorite place could be!
The thing I loved most about this shoot was the team I worked with. It went a little something like this… I called my friends Sunny (Ebb & Flow Flowers and Alliey (Alliey + Co Wedding Planning) and said, “I think we should do a shoot at the beach.” After a brief conversation and a few Pinterest board images for inspo, this shoot came together. I cannot speak enough to the fact that hiring talented artists will make or break your wedding. We have wonderfully talented vendors in our area, and investing in them will ensure a gorgeous day!
Our inspiration for this shoot: The Lake Michigan shore is rustic, untouched in some parts and rather raw. We wanted to leave it as is and incorporate natural elements like driftwood, pebbles and the sand into our design. By using a very bare palette, we blended the floralscape into the surrounding landscape to let the water shine.
Here are the vendors that helped make this dream shoot happen!
