Oh my goodness… this wedding. It still gives me all the feels. Every now and then, even after shooting weddings for nearly a decade, we capture a wedding that takes our breath away. Don’t get us wrong, ALL wedding days do this at one point or another, but sometimes we leave wedding days with a renewed sense of passion for what we do. Margaret and Tim’s day had us so fired up about what we have the luxury of calling our job.
It wasn’t just the absolutely stunning flowers by Ebb & Flow Flowers. It wasn’t the all-day forecasted rainy skies that turned a beautiful golden color at dinner. It wasn’t the amazing food, the pretty cake or even the perfectly manicured yard (although all of these things were AMAZING). For us, it was the pure, undeniable love that Margaret and Tim have for one another, and that their families have for them.
COVID has really sucked for couples who were set to marry in 2020. Like, really sucked. And while most couples have decided to postpone their day, these two couldn’t imagine waiting another day to be married. Instead of their big and grand wedding at the Botanical Gardens, they downsized and celebrated in Margaret’s parents’ back yard. It was honestly perfect.
Margaret and Tim – you set such a an amazing example for exactly what a wedding should be about. Sure, you can make it pretty, but at the end of the day, it about the two of you, your love and starting your life together. No matter how big or how small, your day reminded us just how beautiful day one as husband and wife is. Thanks for starting this strange 2020 wedding season off right. We’re so happy we were able to capture and preserve such an immense day for you both.
Cheers to an absolutely incredible vendor team that pivoted so many times to make this day as amazing as it was:
