Taylor and Jory met in college, which is also where I met Taylor. The two had mutual friends and soon knew that they were meant to be. Since they share a deep love for the outdoors and, specifically the mountains, Jory chased Taylor who chased her dreams out to Colorado. It was the perfect setting for the pair to develop their love story.
A couple of years passed, and my dear friend from journalism school was calling me up asking me to photograph her wedding! Their perfect day took place in the most amazing setting I’ve ever experienced — Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Co. Now, I had never been to the mountains, let alone one of our country’s biggest glacial ranges, so my mouth was hung open in awe the entire time I was there.
Their wedding took place at the YMCA of the Rockies report, nestled in the most incredible valley amongst towering peaks. The views everywhere were insane. And while I could have spent my entire time swooning over that, there was also this adorable couple who is so obviously in love. Their day was full of personal touches that Taylor and her family made themselves, topped off with Taylor’s amazing hand-made dress that she bought through Etsy from a designer in Austraila. I think you’ll be able to tell how much fun this day was!
