Camryn and Tyler share one of those quintessential college love stories that we all hope we will encounter when we leave for our dream schools as bright-eyed 18-year-olds. These two met while working at a local carry-out restaurant during their freshman year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Their connection was pretty instantaneous, but being as laid back as these two are, there wasn’t anything dramatic that led to them dating. According to Camryn, “We never really had a ‘first date’. He bugged me via texts for a few months and started hanging out with me and my friends after that. The rest is history.”
Simple. When you know, you know.
Camryn and Tyler wed on an early Wisconsin spring day at the beautiful Heritage Hill State Historical Park in Green Bay, Wis. The day was cloudy, and a bit windy, but the venue was beautiful nonetheless. The highlight of the morning was being able to witness Camryn walk down the aisle in her great-grandmother’s wedding dress, a dream that Camryn has had for quite some time. The dress needed a bit of work when it got into Camryn’s hands (her great-grandmother cut the train off at her reception so she could dance more freely!), but, luckily, Camryn’s aunt repaired it and brought the dress back to life. There was not a dry eye in the church when she finally walked down to meet Tyler!
Their wedding was travel-themed, as these two share a deep love for traveling and adventure. Camryn and Tyler have been lucky enough to travel extensively out of the country, and cite a recent road trip across northwestern Europe as one of their most memorable so far. Both employees of a west-coast tech company, the pair will reside in Orange County, California after their wedding… “for now,” as Camryn says.
