When our youngest cousin, Kelsey, told us that she was going to take the year off after high school and move to England, I think it’s safe to say that we all took a collective gasp. Thousands of miles away at 18 years old… it was a daunting thought! But much to all of our delight, Kelsey seemed to thrive when she found her new home overseas, and it wasn’t long before she was telling us that she was thinking about staying a bit longer.
Fast forward a few years and Kelsey found herself attending university in England, and meeting a boy named Adam. I’ll never forget the first time I met Adam, when the two journeyed across the pond to stay with her parents. We were all so excited to finally meet the boy that we’d heard so much about and we were definitely not disappointed. Although I shouldn’t be surprised, Kelsey and Adam are the perfect pair. Their personalities fit together so well and their shared faith life keeps them on the right path. It’s so easy to see the bright future that Kelsey and Adam have in front of them.
When it came to their wedding, these two wanted to give their families a taste of the English life that the grew to love to much. So, they got married in the English countryside! Mill Barns was the perfect wedding venue for their big day, and guests enjoyed the sprawling views of the countryside while staying in centuries-old English cottages with Instagrammable views around every turn.
It was amazing to not only witness my cousin marrying the love of her life, but to also be able to travel overseas and photograph it all. Cheers, Kels and Adam, to your new life in America as newlyweds. We can’t wait to have you only a few hours away!
