Sometimes, photographers get in creative ruts, and that’s exactly how I was feeling this summer. Amidst weekly sessions shooting gorgeous people in beautiful places, I somehow started to feel stuck. Lexi and Kane got me out of that state of mind. This session is the epitome of what magic can happen when a couple fully trusts their photographer.
As soon as I met these two, I knew that they were adventurers. So, when it came time for their engagement photos, I texted Lexi and said, “What if we do something kind of out of the box? I’m thinking swimsuits and the beach.” She immediately responded YES and our planning began. This entire session was such a blast for me as a creative because Lexi and Kane were so open to my ideas and, on top of that, had an amazing comfort with one another. It was so easy to see how in love this pair is. Their genuine interactions were my favorite part of this day, and I was so thrilled to be able to capture their love on film. Lexi and Kane — I can’t wait for your wedding next summer at The LedgeCrest Reserve! Knowing you two, it’s going to be amazing.
