So, my cousin Ashley married into one of the most genuine families I’ve ever met. I sincerely mean that. Meeting the Adhikari crew was such a fun experience, as was this entire wedding weekend! For once, I was actually a wedding guest, instead of being behind the camera. BUT I just couldn’t resist giving these two rehearsal dinner coverage as a wedding gift. Especially since Ashley told me that Friday night of their wedding weekend was going to be a traditional Indian celebration!
Being a wedding photographer, you’d think that I’ve experienced a wedding like this before, but I honestly had not! It was one of the coolest things to witness. All of the bold color, intricate details and celebration was truly something to behold. The thing that stuck with me the most about this weekend though, was how much family meant to the Adhikari’s. Throughout the weekend, family was at the center. Ashley + Ateet’s wedding was focused solely on two families – two cultures – joining and celebrating love.
You guys, it was so beautiful. I hope you can feel it in these photos.
And then there was dancing! LOTS and lots of dancing. We had such a blast learning all of the traditional Indian wedding dances, even if we looked a bit clueless doing it 🙂 A big thanks to the Adhikari family for teaching us your ways!
